a) B.LI.Sc. - one year Full time post-graduate course (40 seats)
b) M.LI.Sc. - one year post B.LI.Sc. course (20 seats)
c) Ph.D - Two recognized guides – Seats full
ii) (a) Admission process - The
admission process begins in the month of June every year.
Handbooks and admission forms are available w.e.f. 5th June.
Personal interview of each candidate is conducted. Merit wise
list of candidates deserving to be admitted to the courses as
per reservation criteria is put up on Departmental Notice board
indicating the date for payment of fees. If seats are vacant
second list and third list are subsequently put up on Notice
Board. M.LI.Sc. classes begin generally from 3rd week
of June & B.LI.Sc. classes normally start from 1st
week of July. However, commencement of B.LI.Sc. classes is
subject to declaration of graduate degree results
(b) Reservation : Government's rules as regards to reservation
policy for admission, are strictly
followed
(c) Scholarship/ Prizes: Following

1. Prof. D.N. Marshall Felicitation Prize consisting
of Rs.250/- in cash, shall be awarded Annually to the candidate
who passes the examination for the Degree of Master of Library
and Information Science with highest number of marks on the aggregate
at the examination.
2.Prof. S.R. Ganpule Felicitation Prize value
of Rs.2125/- in cash, shall be awarded annually to the candidate
who secures the highest number of marks in the subject of 'Library
Management' from amongst the successful candidates at the M.LI.Sc.
Degree examination.
