Placements

The Placement Cell of the Department is young. Students are actively involved in the working of the Cell under the guidance of Faculty co-ordinators. The Placement Cell welcomes corporates, banks and other organizations looking for post graduates in Economics.
Students are employed with prestigious organizations (to list a few) such as Symphony Services, National Stock Exchange, CRISIL, CARE, TATA Services Ltd., Delloitte , Wilis Tower Watson, CMIE, HDFC, IDBI Bank Times of India, FINO - a subsidiary of ICICI Bank, CII, Housing Development Finance Corporation, Economic and Political Weekly Research Foundation, GE CIS , Pratham, Accenture, NewsWire 18, Capital Markets.

Placement Process
Organizations (Corporates and institutions) that wish to recruit need to contact the faculty or student co-ordinator with information of the organization, the profile of the job and the approximate cost to company. Organizations are also encouraged to give Pre-Placement Talks to students to enable a clear understanding of the organization and the job profile. The mode of selection may be discussed with the Faculty co-ordinators. As soon as a student accepts a job offer, he/she is deemed to be out of the process of selection. The Placement Cell will have to be informed of the final list of selected candidates and Job Offer Letters to students necessarily have to be channeled through the Placement Cell.
