The Department of Chemistry, University of Mumbai announces a seminar competition on the topic "Chemistry in our lives" for the post-graduate (M. Sc.) students of Chemistry as a part of celebration of 2011 as the "International Year of Chemistry". The competition will be held on Friday, 25^th March 2011 in the Seminar room of the Department.  The students should submit their application forms in the attached format through the Principal of the college to the following address:

Department of Chemistry, University of Mumbai, Lokmanya Tilak Bhavan, First Floor, Vidyanagari, Mumbai 400 098.

The details are as follows:

The Last date of submission of applications is Friday 11^th March 2011.

Duration of presentation: 10 minutes.

The presentation should be made using power point.

The abstract of the presentation should be sent as a soft copy typed in word format on A4 size paper on the e-mail address: chem.office@mu.ac.in with a copy to head.chem@mu.ac.in on or before Friday 18^th March 2011. 

The list of the participants will be displayed on the web-site of the University on Tuesday, 22^nd March 2011.

The seminar competition will begin at 9.30 a.m. The participants should report at 9.00 a.m. for registration.

The event is sponsored by "University Grants Commission". The participants securing FIRST and SECOND position will be given a cash prize of '1500/- and ' 1000/- respectively.

All participants would be given a certificate of participation.
