The Department of Statistics was organized one day seminar on 18^th February 2012 on 'Applications of Statistics . Nearly 150 participants attended the seminar and following speakers were invited .

Prof. Sayan Sen, Prof. Suresh Nimbalkar, Prof. Abhay Tewari, Dr. Amita Dalvi, Prof. Abdul Nasir, Prof. Jaydeep Mukhopadhyay, Prof. Amul Desai delivered  the lectures in seminar.
