Declaration These lectures are meant only for reference viewing and have no direct connection with any syllabus, course content with reference to University of Mumbai. These lectures are developed as a project initiated by the University Grant Commission (UGC), as University Video Lecture Course (UVLC) developed by Education International India, Consortium for Education Communication, New Delhi. Note: These lectures can be best viewed on Microsoft Internet explorer 6 and above and Microsoft media player 9 and above, with a minimum bandwidth of 32kbps.              These lectures are videocassettes converted to very low bandwidth video stream (32 – 38 Kbps), due to which the quality of the video in some cases may be distorted, we apologies for the same. We also recommend not viewing these in full screen mode, as the video might get pixilated.

University Video Lecture Course (UVLC) is a project initiated by the University Grants Commission. They are designed as an ideal package if lectures on each subject suited for all universities. Through these, the best available subject experts can reach undergraduates all over the country.

The lectures are in simple English, making it self instructional material. UVLCs are aimed at providing an overview of the topic, linking it with important developments.
