Graduated from Pune University obtained Ph.D. degree in Physics from Department of Physics, University of Pune under the supervision of Dr. Kiran P. Adhi in 2007. Indian Physics Association, Pune chapter has awarded him 'Dr. Ravikumar Bhalla Award-2006' in the recognition of his research work. He worked in one of the CNRS labs FEMTO-ST at Besancon, France as an Indian Researcher on CEFIPRA funded project supervised by Prof. S. K. Kulkarni and Dr. Shantel Khan Malik. Later he worked as a Research Associated at Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Sheffield University, UK with Prof. Marline Dsouza's group. He joined Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) as a Senior Research Scientist on ISRO funded project. Before joining National Center for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, University of Mumbai he got an opportunity to work at Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Seoul, South Korea as a Visiting Scientist. His main research of interest is broad and covers three main areas which includes: thin film deposition of oxide and nitride semiconductors using pulsed laser deposition (PLD), synthesis of carbon nanostructures using chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and fabrication of nano/micro devices of these materials using advanced fabrication techniques. We also synthesize various nanomaterials and nanocomposites using environmental friendly technique i.e. chemical bath deposition and in particular investigate between their structural, electronic and optical properties.
