Bio imaging is a method that visualizes the biological components in real time. This technique produces the information in vivo & vitro of anatomical/ surface features of biological macromolecules / body organs that are linked to the functions. Thus it is a powerful tool for viewing the biological components. Fundamentally bio-imaging broadly categorised viz. Molecular imaging, bio- imaging in drug discovery, biomedical imaging and computational imaging.
The prime focus of the seminar is on advanced tools & techniques used for visualization and characterization of biological samples/ components in vivo & vitro. Digital Image Processing and Artificial Neural Networks play an important role in the biological image interpretation. This is an excellent platform where researchers, students and clinicians can cordially exchange their views and ideas at the national level for mutual benefit and for the benefit of mankind at large. The seminar envisages to cover techniques such as electron microscopy, MRI imaging, Confocal microscopy, software’s/ computational tools used for analysis of bio- images etc.
